About Me

Michael G. Mirau works with individuals and organizations to help them achieve the improved results they are looking for in their business and personal lives. Mr. Mirau is a nationally recognized business coach to top executives in numerous public, private, and non-profit organizations. Mr. Mirau has over 25 years of practical hands on business experience. Mr. Mirau has worked with organizations in over 20 different industries varying in size from start ups to the Fortune 50.

Mike is the host of the nationally syndicated radio program, “Making Business Work Better”. He interviews small business owners from all over America to discuss the successes and challenges that they face and how they take their businesses to the next level. The show is also available via podcast on Itunes.

His approach cuts through the traditional issues to identify root issues and provide clear processes to help clients develop their own strategies that have lead to success in their organizations. Mr. Mirau brings problems to the surface and his process helps his clients discover new approaches and solutions to traditional business issues.

He has led or facilitated hundreds of sessions, conducted hundreds of meetings from small groups to several hundred people per session and has developed and edited numerous training and development programs. In 1990, Mr. Mirau was inducted into the Who’s Who Worldwide Registry of Business Leaders, as well as in 1997, to the Who’s Who of Information Technology Leaders.

His previous career included both executive and technology management responsibilities in several different companies including E-Systems, J.C. Penney and Interstate Batteries. His career experience included implementing technology and process solutions that established a clear competitive advantage and generated substantial revenue as well as cost savings for the organizations.

Before graduating from Texas A&M University – Commerce, with a double major in Business and Computer Science, Mr. Mirau was very active both locally and nationally. He led both campus and regional organizations and earned a full scholarship as the Outstanding Senior at Farmersville High School. Mr. Mirau also holds an MBA in Organizational Development from the University of Phoenix.

Mr. Mirau has had numerous appearances discussing issues such as Strategic and Business Planning, Business Alignment, Fail-Safe Leadership and “Preparing People to Achieve Excellence”. He has been extensively quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Dallas Business Journal, The Dallas Morning News, and Computer World on ways to improve individual and organizational performance as well as leadership development.

Mr. Mirau serves on numerous non-profit boards for organizations in California and Texas. Mr. Mirau has been married for 25 years, has a daughter in college, and currently resides in Plano, Texas.
