About Me
For the past 35 years I have worked for and with hundreds of worldwide organizations in almost every industry. Each of these organizations had one thing in common; they all wanted to or needed to grow their businesses.

I learned that, considering all of the critical components required to grow a business, the most critical is the people or Human Capital aspect.

I learned you can have the best business model in the world. But if you sell your franchises to individuals who cannot execute the model, the business is not as effective as it could or should be.

I am the Chairman of Franchise Central and President/CEO and Founder of Franchise Architects and Franchise Navigator.

Founded in 1980, Franchise Architects has created, expanded and refined hundreds of franchise programs.

Founded in 1998, Franchise Navigator is the only franchise-specific marketing and recruitment firm which utilizes a values based behavioral survey tool. This on-line, web based survey is utilized in the acquisition and selection of franchisee candidates who resemble a high performer profile we create in Step 1.

We survey and measure existing franchisees and then create a high performer profile and strategies to recruit more people who resemble them. Over 14,000 people have taken the Franchise Navigator's Franchise Business Survey. We are currently working with over 100 different franchise companies.

Do you think your technology would also apply to other niches, such as classifying software engineers according to their motivations/skills/etc?

Did you grow your client base slowly over time or did you grab lots of attention and sign lots of clients at a tradeshow, for example?

Craig ... after completing the franchisee survey process, does your company go on to develop recruitment strategies and methods (writing ad copy, ad placement, etc.) to effectively target the franchisee profile? How many of your franchise companies simply use the navigator to identify the profile of their top performing franchisees, compared to those who actually use Franchise Architects to help implement marketing campaigns?
